If it wasn’t for this MeMe, I’d have nothing to say today

Debbie over at Buzzin’ By  tagged me with this MeMe (and I’ve gotta agree with her…why the hell are these called MeMes?).  I didn’t have anything better to say today, so I’ll play along.  Here are the rules:

1. Go to your documents
2. Go to your 6th file
3. Go to your 6th picture
4. Blog about it
5. Tag 6 friends to do the same

OK, so I use Windows Vista and my pictures aren’t under my documents.  I suppose I could post the spreadsheet that showed our budget and expenses for our trip to Laredo last April, but I’m sure you don’t want to see that!  So, I went to my pictures folder vs. my documents.  I’m not sure what number 3 means.  Do I go to my 6th folder and then select my sixth picture?  Do I skip it altogether and just go to my 6th picture?  Well, I didn’t want to think too hard about it, so I decided to do both!

First up is my 6th picture from my 6th folder:

This picture was taken at Alyssa’s first grade teacher’s house.  Every year, Mrs. Lewis had a pool party at her house for her entire class.  It was at the end of the year, after school let out, and was the perfect kick off for the summer.  Alyssa has been lucky and has so far had wonderful teachers, but Mrs. Lewis was, by far, my favorite.  She gave Alyssa the perfect balance of understanding and discipline.  She knew when to push her and when to let her find her own way.  Mrs. Lewis touched the life of every one of her students.  She even had a student she found YEARS later (she had him as a first grade student and he came back into her life when he was in high school).  She worked with him to pull him through school (not an easy task as he didn’t have the best home life).  Two years later, Alyssa still asks about her.

This picture is the 6th picture:

A couple months ago, I got my hair cut.  Short.  Like had 8 inches cut off short.  You can read all about it here.  This is the back of my hair after the haircut (obviously!).

Now I’m supposed to tag six friends.  Well, that would require me to actually HAVE six friends.  Wait, that didn’t sound right.  I have six friends, I guess what I need is six friends who blog.  Well, I don’t really have six blogging friends (at least that haven’t already answered this) and I don’t feel like tagging random strangers, so I’m only going to take Tina over at Teenie Thoughts (mainly because I know she LOVES posting pictures…otherwise I just would have skipped this step!).
