Take it off! Take it ALL off!

I’ve been wanting to get my haircut for a couple months now, but never seemed to be able to find the time to do it. On Tuesday, I found myself with some time on my hands so I bit the bullet and did it.

I went to an Aveda salon. If you’ve never been to an aveda salon, you need to go!! They are very reasonably priced (at least the one here is) and they don’t accept tips. That’s a HUGE bonus for me because I never know how to tip at a salon and always end up stressing over whether I tipped enough. The best part had to be the hair washing though. They have these wonderful chairs/sinks that are actually more like beds (seriously, I about fell asleep while she was washing my hair!). They also gave me a mini-facial that was heavenly!

My intention was to only get a few inches cut off, making my hair shoulder-length. Then I learned about Beautiful Lengths. Like Locks of Love, they take human hair and make wigs for cancer patients, but they only require 8 inches of hair. So, I made the big decision and had this much cut off

Of course, I forgot to take a before picture, so this is the best I can do

And now the after:

And now for the funny part, when I went to pick the girls up from daycare that afternoon, Angelina ran up to me and asked, “Are you my mom?” Then she insisted that I grow my hair back, right then and there!
