Is it Tuesday already?

Filed under: General — by Sandie @ 7:55 am

Wow! Time sure flies when you’re having fun! I’ve been on vacation since Thursday. It’ll be over by next Thursday. Maybe we can rewind time a little bit…I’m not ready for it to be Tuesday yet!!!!!

I’m getting tired of hearing about the Obama’s dog. Do people really consider this newsworthy? Are there people out there as obsessed as the news seems to be? Or maybe I’m just watching the wrong news programs?

With all the crap that’s been going on with us, we forgot to call Disney to make our dining reservations. We called last night and tried to make them. We only wanted two dining experiences: Cinderella’s Royal Roundtable and Chef Mickey’s. The Royal Roundtable is book EVERY day of our trip. And they had ONE reservation available at Chef Mickey’s…at 7:30 in the morning. Tony’s going to try to call back every day to see if we can still sneak in if somebody cancels.

The weather has been great in Texas. I’ve been wearing shorts all week. I’m not looking forward to going home where it’s been in the 50s & 60s and raining all week. Ugh!

Alyssa and I flew out here lst Thursday. There was bad weather in Atlanta AND Dallas (our connecting city). When we first arrived to the airport, our flight was just delayed. After about 30 minutes, they cancelled. If it wasn’t for the guy sitting near me getting a text telling him it was cancelled I never would have known! I called the airline and they re-booked me on another airline…of course it was out of another terminal and we had less than 30 minutes to get there! As we were gathering our things to get to our flight, they FINALLY announced that our flight was cancelled. I was glad I overheard that guy talking! Alyssa and I ended up making it to Laredo close to our original time. My friend wasn’t so lucky. She didn’t get in until almost midnight!

Tony asked the girls if they would want to do a year of school in Italy. Amazingly, Ashley is thinking about it. I don’t think it’ll happen…I’m sure her mom will either pitch a fit or find some way to talk her out of it. The fact that Ashley is even thinking about is shocking to me though. She’s even been telling her friends about it.

Tony’s aunt has a mean cat. Really mean. He hisses at anything and everthing that gets near it. If you get too close, he has no problems taking a swipe at you. My kids can’t leave him alone! I keep telling his aunt to just let them get scratched and they’ll figure out to leave the cat alone, but she keeps rescuing them.

Well, that’s all the randomness I have this week! Want more? Go visit Keely over at The Unmom, grab the button, and join in the fun!

  1. I don’t know if I can send my child to Italy for a year I would be scared to death. I think I would have to go to them. I so scared of cats.

    • They’ll be coming with us…my husband and I have orders to Italy, so they wouldn’t be alone. 🙂

  2. I would keep trying to call and get your reservations at Disney. People cancel all the time. And check under dining, there are some that post when they are cancelling some of the more popular dining places–such as Cinderella’s Round Table.

    Have a great day!

  3. Definitely keep trying for Disney. People do cancel and Mickey is the man so..I’d do anything to see him again 😉
Italy is awesome, you’ll love it there.

    Thanks for stopping by today!

  4. Obama has a dog?

  5. Chef Mickey’s is a blast and the food is amazing!
Also, the place right next to it at the Contemporary, I recommend it highly for lunch when you’re at the parks. If you go there instead, the food will be better than the park, and a much better bang for the buck! If they have the turkey and apple butter with brie on challah bread, you must get it and report back!

  6. I booked our shows in Disney a year ahead of time and even then it was tough, but that was Spring break. We also loved the Hoop Dee Doo Review and the Polynesian Luau.

  7. I’m definitely not a cat person, they make me itchy. Hope you get in at the eateries, I’ve never been to either of them personally, but anything is better than the lousy cafeteria food you get in the parks.

  9. Yes, the Obama dog thing is getting old. You can tell he’s over it too but people won’t let it go.

Good luck getting into the character breakfast!

  10. Why is it that time flies by extra fast when you’re on vacation? Hope you have tons of fun the rest of your time there, and get in to eat where you want to… 🙂

Oh how I would love to go to Italy! Hopefully Ashley’s mom will let her go, especially since she’d be with you guys – what an amazing opportunity!! 🙂

    Happy RTT! 🙂
