Random Tuesday Thoughts

Filed under: General — by Sandie @ 9:10 pm

I must say…I LOVE Random Tuesday Thoughts. Tuesdays are my looooong days (leave house at 6:30ish a.m. and don’t get home until 8ish p.m.) and I’m often way too tired to put coherent thoughts together. Do you wanna play along? If so, visit Keely here, grab the button and let the randomness begin!!

I did not watch the inauguration today. At least not on purpose. Does that make me a bad American? Unpatriotic? We have a website we can go to through work to watch TV (limited to CNN, FoxNews, CBS, and The Weather Channel). Two of the guys in my office were watching it and one guy’s player was a few seconds behind the other one. So the National Anthem went something like this: “Oh, Oh, say, say, can, can…” You get the idea. Normally I LOVE listening to the National Anthem. It’s one of my all-time favorite songs (especially when someone sings it right!), but I had to get up and leave. I couldn’t take the echoing anymore.

I had a “coaching” tonight at Weight Watchers. That’s where my territory manager comes in, listens to my meeting, and then gives me feedback afterwards. She gave me a glowing review. *preen*

I’m glad today didn’t turn out as bad as it could have. I got to work and realized I’d left my work laptop at home. So, I had to drive all the way back home to get it. When I got home, I remembered something else I needed, grabbed it and started back to work. After about a mile, I realized I forgot the stinkin’ laptop AGAIN! I seriously thought about calling my boss and asking for the day off!

Lost starts again tomorrow night. I’m not as excited as I have been in past years. Maybe I’ll get excited once I start watching again.

I think I’m addicted to Facebook. I found two people I haven’t heard from since high school. How weird is it that they’re both in DC and both work in the same area (and they didn’t know each other in high school)?

I can’t believe my 20 year reunion is just a little over a year away. It doesn’t seem like that long!

I need some magic way to get my 4 year old to go to bed and go to sleep before 10pm every night. I can get her into the bed, but she spends the next 2 hours figuring out reasons to get up or just plain playing in her room.

I think I’m out of thoughts. Or my brain is just asleep already. Either way, I’m done. 🙂

  1. I love the randomness too. I always forget stuff or get around the corner and have to come back to see if I closed the garage door.

  2. I have had days that start like that – I usually call my boss and tell him I’m too useless to come in to work that day, he’d be better off without me.

    Glad you could play along!

  3. I had that kind of night at the supermarket when dealing with Sprite and her tantrums and then forgetting the groceries I had come for in the first place. FUN!
    Great post!

  4. I had a forgetful type of morning too. I blame the cold. I also haven’t gotten in to the Facebook craze, but I’ve been thinking about it. My 20 is still about 4 yrs away. I’m not even sure I’d attend actually, my 10 was a bust. Although I am morbidly curious to see how people have *ahem* aged.
